My Values
It has been my experience that collaborative working always leads to the best outcomes. Parents are the expert on their child and I bring expert knowledge on speech, language and communication. Together, we can effect real change.
I take a holistic view when I work with a child, considering them as an individual and building a picture of them as a whole. This means viewing their communication in the context of their wider development, as well as the different environments in which they communicate.
It is important to me that the techniques I use are effective, up-to-date and supported by current research.
I find that the most successful therapy happens following a thorough assessment. Whilst this may mean the assessment stage takes a little longer, it helps us to pick the right goals and make faster progress once therapy begins.
