Assessment

Screening Assessment Package - £160
The package includes:

  • Online parent/carer questionnaire, completed prior to the assessment

  • Up to 1 hour of assessment completed during one session at your home or child’s school/nursery. Assessment time may include the completion of formal or informal assessments, as appropriate.

  • A report summarising the assessment findings, general advice and recommended next steps

Detailed Assessment Package - £360

A detailed assessment can be required for children who present with a more complex communication profile. This package includes:

  • Online parent/carer questionnaire, completed prior to the assessment

  • Up to 2 hours of assessment completed over 1-2 sessions, in your home and/or child’s school/nursery. Assessment time may include the completion of formal or informal assessments, as well as information gathering from education staff, as appropriate.

  • A detailed clinical report including the assessment findings, a summary of the child’s communication strengths and needs, and bespoke advice and recommended next steps.

  • Up to 30 minute telephone or video appointment to discuss the assessment findings and my recommendations

Bespoke Assessment - £ quoted upon request

Based on information gained in your 15 minute free initial telephone appointment, I can build an assessment programme that will best meet your and your child's specific requirements.

Therapy - £75 per hour

Therapy can be completed at your home or within your child’s school/nursery setting. Online therapy is also available.

A screening, detailed or bespoke assessment will need to be completed prior to accessing therapy.

The hourly rate includes up to 45 minutes of therapy, with the rest of the time dedicated to:

  • Discussions regarding progress

  • Demonstrating homework activities to adults present at the appointment

  • Clinical note writing, etc.

To increase the effectiveness of therapy, the following can be provided (at my hourly rate):

  • A programme of activities to be shared with education staff or extended family, which reinforce and consolidate the work done during therapy sessions

  • Training sessions for parents or education staff

  • Additional therapy resources to support parents or education staff

Other Services and Charges

Hourly rate: £75

This covers activities such as report writing, writing therapy programmes, developing therapy resources, attending meetings, liaising with other professionals, letter writing, emails and referrals.

Telephone Calls: £75 per hour pro rata

This excludes the initial telephone appointment and telephone calls related to arranging appointments.

Travel

The first 30 minutes of a round trip are free (15 minutes there and 15 minutes back) from my base in St Thomas, Exeter. Following this, travel will be charged at the hourly rate pro rata. Travel times will be calculated using Google Maps. Any parking fees are to be paid by the client.
